Dan R. Calfee

Dan is the fourth generation of the Calfee family associated with Calfee Funeral Home. He is a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Beckley College, now Mountain State University and a 1978 graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He is a member of the Beckley Kiwanis Club and past board member and treasurer of the Beckley Area Foundation. Dan has six children, Jonathan and his wife Symantha, Jason and his wife Sara, Alison and her husband Nathan Delimont, Steven and his wife Kelsey, Logan and Sarah. He has ten grandchildren, Hayden, Daniel, Denton, Gabriella, Andrew, Addison, Sophia, Mason, Jet and Cruz. He is married to the former Tina Shrewsbury. They attend Cross Point Church of God in Beckley.

Jonathan Calfee

Jonathan is the fifth generation to carry on the Calfee name in funeral service. He is a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and is currently continuing his education. Jon is a board member and Treasurer of the Beckley Area Foundation. He is married to the former Symantha Kincaid. They are the proud parents of sons, Andrew and Mason. They reside in Beckley and attend the Jones Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley.

Becky Leach

Becky is an skilled musician in a genre of classical to gospel to big band styles and has performance credits from local venues to national levels.

A native of Beckley, she is an alumnus of Woodrow Wilson High School and Lee University. In addition to working with the Calfee family, she has the distinction of 26 years as the organist for First Christian Church; a music teacher for St. Stephen's Day School; performs with theatre productions; and juggles the role of advocacy for and aged parent. She is married to Jeff Leach.

Becky has been with us since January of 2000.

Jeff graduated from Shady Spring High School in 1978. After apprenticeship training he worked for Industrial Electric Corporation for 17 years, worked as a tour bus driver for Mountaineer Coach, Inc. for 3 years and was a regional manager with Folz Vending Co. for 12 years. Since 2007 Jeff has worked in the distribution service center of A.W. Chesterton Co. In 1990 Jeff married Becky. They reside in Beckley and attend Beckley Church of God. He has been with us since November of 2010.

Mike Vaughan

Mike Vaughan is a 69 year old lifelong resident of Beckley, WV. He is a retired physical therapist with over 42 years of experience at Raleigh General Hospital and Beckley VA Medical Center. He has been married to Delores for 25 years and they have 5 daughters, 9 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Mike is also a member of the Beckley First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where is serves as an elder. Mike has been employed at Calfee Funeral Home for the past 2 ½ year.

John W. Fanary

John is a graduate of Independence High School as well as BBC with a degreee in cosmetology. He is financial secretary, treasurer and board member of the Sophia Sanitation Department. He is a resident of Sophia, WV and attends Sophia United Methodist Church.

Dr. Charles Bright

Support Counselor

Charles is a native West Virginia born in South Charleston, West Virginia. He graduated from Poca High School and attended Appalachian BbleInstitute. He graduated from Bob Jones University with a BA gegree, graduated from Lynchburg College with a M. Ed. and graduated from Trinity Seminary with an Ed. D. He pastored several churches in West Virginia and North carolina. his main work has been in education. While working at Memorial baptist Church in Beckley he developed a love for the seniors, especially those who had suffered the loss of a loved one. He is glad to be associated with Calfee Funerl Home to offer comfort and hope to those whio have experienced the loss of a loved one.
