Wilma Nadine Reed

Wilma Nadine Reed, 86, of Beckley, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

Born June 24, 1937 at Maple Fork, WV, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Olive Haught Wriston.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Reed; son, Brian Reed; granddaughter, Victoria Reed; sister, Edna Quesenberry; brother, Robert Denvil Wriston and loving aunts, Garnet, Nadine, Edith and uncle, Robert.

Wilma was a former LPN working at BARH and retiring from Raleigh General Hospital. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, especially the Bible. She loved her family, pets and going to church and fellowship with her church family.

She is survived by her son, Alan Reed and wife Susan of Maple Fork; daughter, Crystal Reed and husband Thomas of Beckley; grandchildren, Jake Reed of Beckley, Wilma Reed of PA; sister Garnet Mooney of Beckley as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with   Pastor Matthew Hill officiating.  Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.  Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
