William Thomas Fain

William Thomas Fain, 83, of Lester, WV, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022.

Born September 2, 1939 in Slab Fork, WV, he was the son of the late Carl and Elma Farley Fain.

William was a former police officer and service technician for Sears.  He was a member of Akers Missionary Baptist Church, was an avid hunter and loved to garden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Carl and Bernard Fain and sisters, Lelia Barker and Rita Terry.

William is survived by his wife, Mary Kythryn Fain; brother, Donald Fain; sister, Ruth Blankenship; son, Mark Fain(Reah) of oak Hill, WV; daughter, Karla Fain (Greg Lancaster) of Beckley, WV; step-sons, Charles Ferguson (Lisa of Crab Orchard, WV, Johnnie Ferguson of Otto, NC; step-daughter, Denise Keeton (Tim) of West Liberty, KY; grandchildren, Mark Fain, Jr and Peyton Fain as well as several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ardeth Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
