William David Abbott, 80, of Beckley, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. He was born on August 4, 1943, in Charleston, WV, to the late Charles Lyle and Helen Meadows Abbott.
Bill dedicated his life to educating young minds and was a respected school teacher in the St. Mary’s County Maryland school system before retiring. His passion for teaching left a lasting impact on many students throughout his years of service. He attended Oak Hill and Lester Church of Christ.
He is survived by his children, Shannon Abbott, Mark Abbott, Lisa Leo, Arrah Callahan, Nathan Abbott, Jason Abbott, his sister Wanda Edwards.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal services held to honor his memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Calfee Funeral Home.
