Virginia Bonds

Mrs. Bonds attended local schools and was a 1936 graducate of WWHS. A retired educator, having taught for 35 years, Virginia was a 1940 graducate of Marshall Unviersity and received her Masters Degree from Ohio State University in 1945. Virginia was a active member for over 50 years and past matron of the Bethlehem Chapter #71, Order of the Eastern Star, member and past worthy high priestess of the Judea Shrine #13, Order of the White Shrine in Beckley. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Beckley, member of the Pathfinders Sunday School Class, serving as treasurer. Virginia was an active member of the Shepherd's Center and had been for the beginiing of it's organization. She was also a member of the NRTA, Raleigh County Educators Association, Christian Women's Club, Town and County Home makes Extension Services serving as secretary for many years.
