Shirley Ann Cox

Shirley Ann Cox, 78, of Harper passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019. Born November 25, 1040 in Glen Rogers, Wv, she was the daughter of the late Arlie Eliss and Maggie Manning Gunnoe.
Shirley attended Grace Pointe Fellowship in Harper, WV. She was a caregiver for her handicapped brother Arthur “Cracker” for over 40 years. She enjoyed attending church and spending time with friends and family, especially her best friend, Rose Howerton.
Survivors include her son, James Cox of Daniels; daughter, Lisa Keener and her husband Randy Stover of Bradley; granddaughters, Anastasia and Allan Dunford of Oak Hill, Elizabeth and Lauren Cox of Daniels and great granddaughter, Raegan Davis along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by siblings, Delmar, Kermit, Donald and Arthur Gunnoe, Thelma Simerly, Pauline Eynon, Ruby Combs and Irene Lafferty.
Services will be 1 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2019 at Grace Pointe Fellowship, 3662 Harper Rd, Harper, WV with Pastor Dick Sellards officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Dr, Beckley, WV or Grace Pointe Fellowship, P.O. Box 87, Harper, WV 25851.
