Richard Eugene Gillum, 50, of Mabscott, died Thursday, January 1, 2009 in a local hospital. Born February 18, 1958 in Beckley, he was the son of George Edward and Billie Jean Reinhart Gillum of Beckley. Richard was a self employed contractor and a member of the Oak Grove Christian Church. He was a lifetime resident of Raleigh County.
Besides his parents he is survived by three daughters, Stephanie Rogers of Prince, WV, Crystal Gillum of Mabscott, WV, Jennifer Gillum of Coal City, WV; granddaughters, Autumn Rogers and Savannah Tucker; former wife, Janet Gillum of Prince, WV; sister, Barbara Blankenship of Marietta, GA; brothers, Michael Gillum of Fayetteville, WV, Harry Gillum of Clarksburg, WV and Tom Gillum of Allison Park, PA
Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2009 at the Webb Cemetery, Lester, with Joe Schmidt officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 29119 Phoenix, AZ 85038-9119
