Patty Jean White

Patty Jean White, age 87 of Wyco, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 15, 2026 following a short illness.

Born in Itmann, WV on October 25, 1938, she was the daughter of the late James Robert Lilly and Easter Virginia Shumate Lilly.

Patty spent her life dedicated to her family, church, and community. She last worked as a Postmaster with the United States Postal Service in Wyco, WV, serving there for approximately 30 years. In her earlier years, she was a member of TOPS, where she found lifelong friendships, and she was also an avid WVU sports fan.

Patty was a faithful member of Corinne First Church of God, where she attended for many years and served as Trustee. She will be missed by her church family.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny White, brothers, Roger, Danny, and James Lilly, sister, Joann Johnson, and grandson, Derrick Shane White.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughters, Debra Poe and Tresa McGraw (Roger), her sons James Dale (Jimmy) White (Tracey) and Danny Earl White Jr, and her brother Stevie A Lilly. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 21, 2026 at Calfee Funeral Home in Beckley, WV with Pastor Evelyn Williamson officiating. Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
