Patricia Ann Marcum (née Flowers), 55, of Shady Spring, WV, went home to be with the Lord in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 25th, 2025, after long years spent battling chronic illnesses.
Those left to honor her memory are her longtime partner, Jack Baldwin, also of Shady Spring, her loving parents, John and Betty Flowers, of Beaver, WV, her younger sister, Deborah Miller (Paul), of Saint Albans, WV, her daughters Amber (Joseph) Adkins, of Sophia, WV and Cherith (Matthew Danish) Marcum, of Jacksonville, FL, and son, Bradyn (Destiny Chapman) Mullins, of South Charleston, WV. Grandsons Colton, Asher, Eli, Kaeden, Zion, and another due to arrive in September, and granddaughters Bella, Emory and Nori. Also, a beloved Aunt, Peggy (Paul) Allison, of Oldsmar, FL and her dear nieces Kaitlyn and Lauren Miller of Saint Albans, WV. Many other aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends will be grieving her as well.
Patricia Ann Flowers was born on November 24th, 1969, in Charleston, WV to John and Betty Flowers. Patty Ann was raised in McConnell in Logan County, and graduated from Logan High School in 1988. She married Larry Marcum, Jr. in 1990, and they eventually settled in Saint Albans. She was widowed young in 2000, and re-settled in Shady Spring with her love, Jack, in 2021. She was a woman with a bold personality who was never afraid to speak her mind. She had many interests,and could hold a conversation with anyone about anything. She liked helping people and didn’t let an opportunity pass her by if she could help it. Her favorite place to be in the entire world was on the Greenbrier River in Pocahontas County, as she said it was the only place she could truly feel at peace. She had a deep appreciation of many different types of music, she was a foodie who enjoyed lots of cuisines and never shied away from trying a new one, she loved to laugh, she loved to have fun, but most of all, she loved her grandchildren with all her heart. Nothing brought her more joy than seeing them and doting on them. No matter where life took her, she had an unwavering Christian faith that always saw her through.
