Patricia Casne

Patricia Jo (Bell) Casne, 72, passed away peacefully following a long illness at her residence in Beckley, WV, on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Patricia was born in Beckley, WV, on January 19, 1953. She was the daughter of the late Julius Moran and Hazel Pauline (Boggess) Bell. Patricia was a lifelong resident of Raleigh County. She worked at the Beckley Crossing Kroger as a cashier for 18 years before retiring. She made it a point to get to know her customers, and nobody was a stranger to her for long. Patricia had a passion for birds and took care of many feathered friends over the years. Before her illness, she enjoyed birdwatching and feeding the wild birds. Patricia was a dedicated member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church for over 40 years. She had a special devotion to Our Lady, and prayed the rosary daily. Survivors include her husband, Albert Francis Casne, and three daughters: Marie (John) Casne, Erica (Jayme) Bell, and Sarah Casne; grandson Vincent Vasquez; brothers Benny (Margaret) Boggess, Jerry (Linda) Bell; sister Nancy (Richard) Houston; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by three canine companions: Daisy, Plato, and Henry. Preceding her in death were both parents; brother James Edward Bell, and nieces Amanda Bell and Tara (Bell) Haddix. A funeral mass will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Mass will be officiated by Rev. Leonard Smith. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
