Nellie (Hughes) Lilly, 81 of Beaver, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Bowers Hospice House.
Born July 19, 1934 at Coal City, WV, she was the daughter of the late Blake and Delilah Lester Hughes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, H.K. “Sonny” Lilly in 2006.
Nellie was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She was formerly employed at Beckley Manufacturing, Pinecrest Hospital and the WV Turnpike Glass House. She was a member of Daniels Missionary Baptist Church, VFW Women’s Auxiliary and SAM’s.
Nellie is survived by 4 sons, Harold Lilly and wife Susan of Shady Spring, Michael Lilly and wife Sandra of Lithia Springs, GA, Terry Lilly and wife Karen of Daniels, WV, Sean Lilly and wife Leann of Beaver, WV; 7 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary Young of Middletown, OH, June Adkins of Midway, WV and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Daniels Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Jack Thomas and Pastor Russ Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Dr., Beckley, WV 25801.
Pallbearers will be Morgan Lilly, Russell Lilly, Evan Lilly, Corey Lilly, David Lilly, Caleb Lilly, Walter Patton. Honorary pallbearers will be Chick Hughes, Jimmy Hughes, Anthony Williams, Joe Adkins and Shaun Wood.
