Mary Corey

Mary Corey (Workman) of Beckley, passed away on January 13th 2024. Mary was born on February 15,1955 to the late Jerome and Teresa (Bria) Workman in Montgomery WV.

Mary was a dedicated mother, sister and daughter. Mary leaves behind three children, Theresa Corey, Mitchell Corey (wife Shanen) Alexandria Thomas(husband Lucas) and six grandchildren Briana, Jacob, Gracie, James, Samuel and Emma whom she loved dearly. Mary also leaves behind her caring sister Beverly McGary (husband Craig) of Greensboro and brother Michael of Morgantown. She was preceded in death by two brothers Jerome Workman of Charleston and Ernest Workman of Dixie.

She loved taking care of people, she volunteered her time at helping hands in uptown Beckley, and always had an open door to anyone needing a good home cooked meal. Mary loved to sew and make things, to give to the people that she loved.

Service will be held at a later date.

In her honor do an act of kindness. You never know the impact of how a simple act can change the life or the emotion that someone is going through.
