Margie Belle Williams

Margie Belle Williams, Nannie, passed peacefully September 7, 2021. Born January 19, 1924, on Ellison Ridge Rd. she is the last remaining member of her extended family.
She is preceded in death by her husband E.E. Doc Williams and her only daughter Mona Kay Williams Zickafoose.

She is survived by her son Billie J Williams; grandchildren, Kim (Robbie) Allen ( Beth) Leslie (Kirk) and Lisa; great grandchildren, Madison, Ricky and Olivia.

Nannie devoted her life to her children, grand and great-grand-children, teaching many life lessons most of all kindness. She retired from Eppy’s drugstore after many years of running the lunch counter. She had so many regular customers for her cheeseburgers, egg salad sandwiches and milkshakes. Not only could she “whip” up some food she grew magnificent flowers and vegetables. There’s just not much our Nannie could not do. Her wit and humor are unmatched, and she will be missed.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Pine Lodge and Bowers hospice house. A special thank you to Dan Calfee.

Services will be Tuesday September 14 ,2021 at Calfee Funeral Home. Visitation at 11am followed by services at noon with Pastor Paul Chapman officiating. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
