Leo Gibson Cook, 75, of Crab Orchard passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016. Born November 20, 1940 in Augusta, GA, he was the son of the late Leo and Winnie Sue Gibson Cook.

Leo was a retired line superintendant for AEP. He was an ordained deacon and a charter member of Jordan Christian Fellowship. Providing for his family was very important to Leo. He loved entertaining family and friends, gardening, fishing and crocheting. He was the first in his family to go to college attending The Citadel on a football scholarship.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Glenda Fagile Cook and a sister, Peggy Blair.

Leo is survived by his daughter, Susan Chada and husband David of Crab Orchard; son, Stephen Cook of Crab Orchard; grandchildren, Ashleigh Irwin and husband Phillip, Brandon Shelton, Jonathan and Christopher Chada and great grandchildren, Bella and Emma Irwin.

Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Roberts officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 5 p.m. until service time on Wednesday. A family committal will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Jordan Christian Fellowship, P.O. Box 812, Sophia, WV 25921.
