Kermit H. Wood

Kermit H. Wood, 94, of Beaver, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Born February 12, 1922 in Crumpler, WV, he was the son of the late Henry and Grace White Wood.
Kermit was a retired contractor. He was a member of Grandview Christian Church. He enjoyed farming, hunting, gardening and woodworking. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Faye Harvey, Cleo Miller and Anna Lee Wood and brothers, Jack, Mason and Ray Wood.
Kermit is survived by his wife of 65 years, Annice Byrd Wood; sons, Jeff Wood and wife Jane of Beaver, WV and Jim Wood of Weston, WV and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Grandview Christian Church, 185 Table Rock Rd, Beaver, WV with Pastors Russ Jordan and Oscar Schwitzerlette officiating.
Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Williams, David Wills, Don Allen, Jay Anderson, David Harvey and Peter Burlingame.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Grandview Christian Church, 185 Table Rock Rd., Beaver, WV 25813 or to a charity of your choice.
