Kenneth Monroe Parent Sr. 82 of Crab Orchard, WV, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday June 17th, 2026. Kenneth was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and Minister. He was a retired coal miner from Pittston Coal Company and was the Pastor of Glen White Missionary Baptist church for the last 52 years.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Flora (Deweese) Parent, siblings, David Parent and Deborah Gill, Brother in laws: Rudolph Hatcher, Richard Sansom and Butch Gill, Sister-in-law, Peggy Parent

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Nancy (Bailey) Parent, children Lisa Smith (Paul), Kenneth Parent Jr, Bryan Parent (Christy), Grandchildren Emily Dunkle (Dylan), Lauren Parent, Kenneth Parent III, Kyle Parent (Taylor), Andrew Smith (Katlyn). Great grandchildren, Genevieve, Harrison & Eloise Parent, Weston Dunkle and Delaney & Emersyn Smith. Siblings, Joyce Hatcher, Sandra Keffer (Raymond), Larry Parent. Sister-in-law Lyda (Parent) Kessler. Many nieces and nephews and lots of friends.

Friends may visit Saturday June 20th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Glen White Missionary Baptist Church 129 Chester St. Glen White WV. Funeral services will be Sunday June 21st at 11:00 am at the church.
