Judy Dickens

Judy Ann Dickens, 82, from Beckley, West Virginia, passed away peacefully January 3, 2026.

Judy was known for her compassionate heart and unwavering dedication as a CNA at Heartland Nursing Home, where she touched the lives of many with her gentle nature and commitment to care.

Judy had a loving spirit and found joy in the simple things in life. She was known for her beautiful singing voice. She was also an avid bingo player (she loved to win purses). She looked forward to Fridays when her daughter Kim would visit and eat pizza. She called this "mommy daughter day." Besides her love for singing, she could also yodel and tap dance.

Those who knew her will remember her infectious smile and kind spirit.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband Charles Larry Dickens, her parents Mont and Vina Pettry, brothers Steve, Timmy and Dennis Pettry. She is survived by her children Kim Dillon (Josh) of Beckley, WV, Charles Dickens (Joann) of Rock Creek, WV and Teresa Scarbro (Roger) of Rock Creek, WV; sister Carol Bennett Cleveland, OH; grandchildren Sheila and Tyler; and many nieces and nephews; special friends Linda, Jerry Ramsey and Sissy, Bo McKnight.

Services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Miller Cemetery in Rock Creek, WV at 2:00 PM.
