Joshua Nathan Burd

Joshua Nathan Burd, 36, of Beckley, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021.
Born January 4, 1985 in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of Danny Nathan and Delores Jean Long Burd.
Joshua was in the construction industry. He loved sports especially basketball and football. Joshua loved a good laugh and kept his family and friends entertained. His smile and personality could light up a room. He never met a stranger. He was always there to lend anyone a helping hand. Joshua loved his family and friends. Joshua enjoyed hanging out/going places with his dad and laughing/cracking jokes with his mom. There was never a dull moment. He attended Faith Community Church.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Waldo Burd and Nile Long.
In addition to his parents Joshua is survived by sisters, April Russell (Nathan) of New Lebanon, OH and Danielle Dorado (James) of Beckley; son, Devin McGuire of Middletown, OH; grandmothers, Betty Burd of Parma, OH and Esther Long of Beckley as well as other family members.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2021 at Faith Community Church, 299 Grey Flats Rd., Beckley with Pastor Duane Harney officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until service time.
