Johnnie Nathaniel Hawkins (67) died March 28, 2019 at Summers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.
Johnnie was born November 8, 1951, in Allen Junction, WV to the late Neal B Hawkins and Emily Hawkins. He was a member of St Francis De Sales Church and graduated from Sophia High School. He worked at Maple Meadow Mine and at WV Parkway Authority.
He is survived by his lifelong companion, Barbara, daughter, Christy Smith and her daughter, Sydney, of Harrisburg, NC; son, Christopher Hawkins of China; brother Neal and sisters Darleen Norton, Nancy Acord and Retha Greer, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2nd at Calfee Funeral Home with Deacon Harry Evans officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may gather with the family from 11:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
