John Daniel Bolen

John Daniel Bolen, 53, of Sophia, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022.

Born October 21, 1968, he was the son of the late James Willard and Hattie Marie Alexander Bolen.

John was a mechanic and loved spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Christopher Edward Alexander, James Ernie Bolen and sister-in-law, Vicky Gail Alexander.

John is survived by his wife, Erica Bolen of Sophia, WV; brother, Glenn Alexander and his children/spouses, Keith and Meghan Alexander and Brian and Arianna Alexander of Michigan, Karen Palacio and husband Juan Palacio of Louisiana, brother, Larry Alexander and wife Paula Alexander, children George and wife Leaha Perce of Beckley, WV, Greg and wife April Pierce of Coal city, WV; daughter, Renee Dickens and husband Aaron Dickens of Rock Creek, WV; sons, John Bolen and wife Jessica of Gallagher, WV, Keneith Bolen and fiance’ Kim Byrge of Beaver, WV, Dakota Bolen of Stotesbury, WV, daughter, Destiny McGrady of Beckley, WV, son, Khristian Bolen of Sophia, WV; grandchildren, Madeline Myles, Abagail Hedgecock, Mason Hedgecock, Jaycee Bolen, Jaxon Bolen, Brayden Bolen, Dustin Bolen, Noah Bolen, Elijah Stafford and Xavier Stafford.

A celebration of John’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2022 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Pate officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
