JoAnn Wardensky passed peacefully on 2/16/2022 at her Memory Care facility in Daleville, VA. She was born and raised in Beckley WV, lived the majority of her life in Apex, NC before she moved to her care facility in VA. She is preceded in death by her daddy, Adam Wardensky and mommy Barbara Rachel Wardensky of Stanaford WV. Sisters Ruth Lockard of Connecticut, Vera Adkins of Beckley WV, Eva Williams (Bebe) of West Palm Beach, FL and brother, Adam Wardensky, Jr of Richwood, WV. She is survived by her daughters Kay Capps (Lyle Capps) of Bassett, VA, Lynn Barron of Lillington, NC. Grandson Brad Jones (Courtney) of Pittsboro, NC. Granddaughters Skylar Barron and Amber Barron of SC. Great-grandson Aiden Jones. Beloved niece Galia Slade (Mike) and nephew Ron Williams (Junea). A private family service will be held in Beckley WV and she will be laid to rest with her sister Vera in the mausoleum in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley WV. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to dementia research.
