Jennifer Elaine Buck, 76, of Shady Spring, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at home with family by her side. Born January 7, 1945, Jennifer was the daughter of the late William Hubert Irons, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Enright Irons. Besides her parents Jennifer was preceded in death by her brothers, Glenn and William Irons and stepdaughter, Mary Pearson.
Jennifer retired as an accounting clerk with the Raleigh County Board of Education and a longtime member of Clifftop Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, loved animals and cherished time spent with family.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Buck; sons, William Cook and his wife Michele of Shady Spring and Brian L. Cook and his wife Brandy of Beaver; stepdaughters, Rene Hash and her husband Ken of Roanoke, VA and Shelley Collier of Kingsport, TN; special niece, Katherine Irons; grandchildren, Shannon Blevins and her husband Greg, Belinda Godby and her husband Dustin and Nicholas Joynes; step-grandchildren, Samuel, Sydney, Stone, Mary, James and Morgan; great grandchildren, Madison, Ryder and Lynleigh and brother, Jerry Irons and his wife Marlene.
Funeral services will be conducted 11am Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Calfee Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Manning officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on the family Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from 6-8pm at Calfee Funeral Home.
