James William Bolen

James William Bolen, 70, of Midway, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018.
Born March 8, 1948 in Crab Orchard, he was the son of the late James Dillard and Virginia Faye Perdue Bolen.
James was a retired construction worker. He was a member of Laborers’ International Union and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He enjoyed fishing and watching football and was a member of Glen View Baptist Church. James proudly served his country with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Forren Bolen; children, Cynthia Phillips of Coal City, James Lilly of Elliston, VA, Tina Lilly Marshall and husband Darren of Ararat, VA, Daniel Lilly and his wife Penny of Salem, VA; grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew, Timothy, Alexis, Christopher, Corey, Stephen, Brandon, Jamie, Novalee, Summer, Tylor, Jeremy, Allie, Travis; great-grandchildren, Kannin Mae, Matthew, Maya, Owen, Kennedy, Kentland; sisters, Donna Adkins, Charlene Parsons, Ada Persinger; brothers, Aaron Lee and Kenny Ray Bolen and special friend, Tommy.
Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Calfee Funeral Home. A celebration of James’ life will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Jerry Martin officiating.
