James Matthew Smith, 31, of Beckley, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021.
Born October 19, 1989, he was the son of James Edward Smith and Georgeanne Altice.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by brothers, S. Alexander and Michael Smith; sisters Kenzie and Kayla; Maw Maw Judy Smith; Uncle Dale Smith; Aunt Kathy Smith.
The family will have an informal memorial to celebrate the life of James at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23 at Grandview National Park Shelter 3. Face masks are requested and will be provided for under the shelter for close contact. Fist bumps are recommended instead of hugs. A light meal will follow.
