Jacob Preston Jones

Jacob Preston Jones, 39, of Mt. Hope, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019. Born June 13, 1980 he was the son of Debra Sue Lambert of Shady Spring and Donald Wayne Jones (Sherrie) of Denver, NC.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arnold Lambert and Bruce and Gloria Jones.
Jacob worked as an electrician in the mines for many years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, dirt racing, 4-wheeling and (per his dad) women. But mostly he loved his children, spending time with his mom and dad and helping others.
Besides his parents, survivors include his grandmother, Macie Lambert; sisters, Crystal D. Lambert, Felicia Redden, Jessica Jones and Ariel Jones; children, Jasmine Jones and her mother Jennifer, Kaylee Jones and her mother Lyndsay, Alyssa and Brittany Jones and their mother Sarah, Brooklyn Simms and her mother Robin Simms and husband Mike, Mariah Jones and her mother Niki and Savannah Colman and her mother Amanda; companion, Niki Trail; special cousin (bro), Roger Lambert; aunts and uncles, Kay Allen, Harlen and Joyce Jones, Donna Milam, Jimmy and Lou Jones, Patricia Lambert, Rose and Dana Harris, Margaret Painter, Drema and Noel Brown, Jr., Lisa and Carlos Morton, Arnold Lambert, Jr. and wife Amy, Robin and Ross Spangler, Dana Murdock along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 1pm Saturday, September 14, 2019 with Pastor Jeffery Perdue officiating. Burial will follow at Calfee Cemetery. Friends may call on the family Friday, September 13 from 6-8pm and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Jones, Harlen Jones, Ross Spangler, Ross Spangler, Jr., Greg Graef and Noel Brown, Jr.
Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Please all family members cherish the good memories of mine and Debra’s son. He had hardship, he had great times, he had sadness, he had happiness, but we all know he had love and he knew we all loved him. R.I.P. our son, brother, father and grandson. Loved you so much, Dad & Mom.
