Jackie Wilson Hylton, 80, Sophia, WV passed away April 20, 2017.
Funeral Services at Memorial Baptist Church on Monday, April 24 with Dr. James Boyd and Dr. Charles Bright officiating. Visitation at 11:00 and services at 1:00. Burial following at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Born February 24, 1937 in Coal City, WV, Jack graduated from Stoco HS, proudly served in the US Air Force, retired from GM, worked as a miner, custodian at Memorial and greeter for Calfee Funeral Home. He loved serving as greeter at Memorial Baptist Church and also in the choir, BYKOTA SS Class and Awana leader. Jack was a judge for the Town of Sophia. He loved the Lord with all his heart, never meet a stranger and made everyone laugh. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren dearly.
Jack is preceded in death by his Mother Gladys Hylton, his Father Woodrow Hylton, and his Brothers Bill and Richard Hylton.
Survivors include his wife Phyllis Hylton, daughter Kerri Lilly (John), daughter Kim Smith and son Troy Hylton, stepson Randy Hunt (Lisa), stepson Jeff Hunt (Cristina), 10 grandchildren and one great ganddaughter. Also sisters Joyce Bower (Gene), Betty Harrier (Don), Drema Lhaman (Danny), Linda Zinn (Ernie), Vickie Pryor (Joe) and brothers Curtis Hylton (Shirley) and Dean Hylton (Mona), sister-in-law, Darla Hylton.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Hunt, Ethan Hunt, Dylan Lilly, Steven Smith, Troy Hylton and Jonathan Hunt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jack’s name to Memorial Baptist Church.
