Herman Ohler

Herman Ohler, 79, of Lester, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Raleigh Center following a long illness. Born September 25, 1930 at Christian, WV, he was the son of the late George and Ruth Messer Ohler. Mr. Ohler was a 30 year veteran of the U.S. Navy retiring with the rank of Lt. Commander. Following his retirement Herman worked as an enrolled agent for H&R Block.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Cochran Ohler, daughter, Karla L. Naley and husband Brad of Lester, WV, son, Russell Herman Ohler of Beaver, WV, grandchildren; Allison Campbell of Richmond, VA, Amber Bumgarden of Johnson City, TN and Spencer Naley of Beckley, sister, Georgia Ruth Marshall of OH, step-brothers; Don Crotty of Beckley and Ralph Crotty of Michigan.
Following his wishes Mr. Ohler will be cremated. There will be no visitation or service.
