Glenna Ruth Stover

December 25, 1941 — April 28, 2021

Glenna Ruth Stover, 79, of Sophia WV crossed over into eternal rest with her lord Savior on April 28, 2021 at 9:10 pm at Raleigh General Hospital, following a short illness.
Born on December 25, 1941. Glenna Ruth was the daughter of the late Joseph Zion McAlpine and Rachel Rose Lilly McAlpine.
Glenna was a homemaker and a Pentecostal Minister for many years at Full Gospel Tabernacle in Beaver, WV. After Glenna left her ministries there, she preached out of her home for many more years. Glenna loved the lord and was baptized into his kingdom at an early age. She loved for her friends and family to visit with her, and she would share memories, speak the word of the Lord, pray with them and just sit and talk. Glenna always had a hot cup of coffee ready anytime you were there. Glenna loved her four boys with the whole heart and soul and was a proud momma and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband Jack C. Stover, her children's fathers George W. Lambert and Chester P. Scott and her Beloved Son Keith Lambert who passed away March 4, 2018 and broke her heart. Michael Ray held her hand and stood by her side and told her to go home to her lord savior and to go be with Keith who she has missed and longed to see.
Glenna is survived by her three loving sons, Gary L and Renee Scott of Christiansburg, VA, G. Joey Lambert of Beckley, WV, and her baby boy ( Which is how she always referred to) Michael Ray and Amanda Lambert of Coolridge, WV.
Ten Grandchildren, Gary Lee Scott II, Rachel Scaggs, Jenna Lambert, Justin Lambert, Colton Thompson, Jacob Lambert, Jared Lambert, Taylor Lambert, Bryce Lambert and Maggie Rae Lambert.
Eight Great Grandchildren , Three sisters, LaDonna Meadows of Beckley, WV, Judy Richards, of Beckley, WV and Nancy Bolen of Coal City WV, two brothers Bob McAlpine of Athens, WV and Roger McApline of Beckley, WV. and her sister in law, brother in laws and many nieces and nephews.
The Family would like to give and special thanks to a helpful, caring and special hearted nurse Courtney Foley from Raleigh General Hospital 2 South, Hospice of Beckley, Wv for stepping in yesterday and relieving her suffering and the 4th floor night shift nurses at Raleigh General hospital in assisting her through her transition home to the Lord her savior on the night of her passing and being so kind to her family.

Mothers hold their Childrens hands for a little while but their hearts forever. I truly never learned that the words " Im Gonna Miss You" until I reached to touch your hand one last time and it was lifeless. In the life we loved you dearly and in death we love you still. In our hearts you held a place that no one will ever fill. We love you and will miss you always momma!
love,
your sons
