Gladys Eye Lafferty

Gladys Eye Lafferty, 96, of Beckley passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020.
Born May 8, 1924 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Gertrude Richmond Eye.
Gladys was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Beckley College and Columbia University Business School. She was a lifelong partner in the John W. Eye Company. She was a member of the Beckley Community United Methodist Church where she was a teacher of the MYF program and a life member of the Beckley Quota Club.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Ina Maples and Neva Broderick.
Gladys is survived by her sisters, Ruth Webb and Hallie McGinnis of Beckley and brother, John L. Eye of Daniels.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum B with Rev. Betsy Evans Ingstrup officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1 pm until service time at the mausoleum.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers please consider donations to Beckley Community United Methodist Church or Hospice of Southern West Virginia.
