George Willard

On the morning of July 28, 2020, George T. Willard, age 73, of Posey Saxon, WV, was carried away to Heaven on the wings of angels. He passed at the Doug and Lucy Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born on May 7, 1947, George was the son of Orland Henry and Lucy Jane Willard. He was raised in Bruno, WV.
He married the love of his life, Beatrice (BK) Willard on August 13, 1967. They settled in Posey Saxon, where they raised their family: sons Raymond and Ryan and daughters Lynn and Crystal.
George was proceeded in death by both his parents; siblings Raymond Bruce Willard, Harold Martin Willard, and Freda Burgess; nephew Gary David Burgess; special friend William Clark; and grandson-in-law Jeremy Smith.
His loving memory will forever be cherished by his wife of 52 years, Beatrice (BK) Willard; children Terri Lynn (Terry) Brickles; Raymond Martin Willard; Crystal Ann Silver; and George Ryan (Jeannette) Willard; grandchildren NaTosha Lynn Holstein (Craig), Savannah Brooke Smith, Cody Adam Brickles, Preston Ryan Willard and Austin Tyler Prater; great-grandchildren Caidan Lee York and Payton Brookelynn York; as well as extended family members and a special friend Willy Collins.
George enjoyed caring for his farm and animals. George’s family was his life. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather and his family will always remember and treasure his strength, character, and gentle and loving ways. He trusted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour, and his family looks forward to seeing him again in Heaven.
A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the Willard Family Cemetey, 251 Rockland Ct, Saxon, WV.
