Frankie Deeds Martin

Frankie Deeds Martin, 84, of Beckley, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017. Born April 24, 1932 at Madams Creek, WV, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace Young Deeds.

Frankie attended Hinton High School. She retired from Kroger and was a member of United Methodist Temple. Frankie loved dogs and following WVU Mountaineer football and basketball.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Johnson; her second husband, Rod Martin and sisters, Carrell Kincaid and Annabell Gleason.

Frankie is survived by her sons, Bill Brightwell of Frederick, MD and Jay Johnson of Beckley; niece, Linda Hogue and her husband Phil; step-daughter, Jessica Holliday and husband Guy of Hinton, WV.

Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Thurdsay, April 13, 2017 at Calfee Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Restwood Memorial Gardens at Madams Creek, WV with Pastor Clif Adkins officiating.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Place at United Methodist Temple, 201 Templeview Dr., Beckley, WV 25801.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
