It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Elizabeth Lynn Kisker, on May 27, 2023 at the age of 80.
Born on May 21, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio, to parents Paul and Ruth Hunsinger. She grew up in Columbus, Ohio, later moving to Bluefield, West Virginia and then, later in life, to Beckley, West Virginia. Beloved wife to her late husband, William Earl Kisker, and a devoted mother to her three children, Thomas Earl Kisker, Jennifer Lynn Kisker and Amie Elizabeth Lyon.
Elizabeth lived a full life. She graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Development. Going on to teach Preschool, then raising three children of her own. She had a hidden artistic talent, that was found in sketch pads from her youth. She also practiced ballet through her adolescent days. Her hobbies included extensive reading and solving puzzles of all kinds.
Elizabeth’s kindness was boundless. Her love for family was endless and those who knew her adored her sweet nature. She was loved immensely and will be missed greatly. Memories of her will be forever in our hearts.
Elizabeth is survived by her son and wife Thomas and Stephanie Kisker; daughter Jennifer Kisker; daughter and husband and granddaughters Amie, Scott, Taylor, Addison and Samantha Lyon. Also survived by sisters Judy Ivan and Kathy Hunsberger.
Family members have decided to hold a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, for an expression of sympathy, the family asks that donations be made to Bowers Hospice House. 454 Cranberry Dr., Beckley, WV 25801; www.hospiceofsouthernwv.org.
