Dr. Jerry Allen Kruchkow

Dr. Jerry Allen Kruchkow, age 91 of Beckley, WV passed away peacefully on January 30th, 2023.
Jerry was born, July 6, 1931 to parents Alex and Anne Kruchkow in Bay City, Michigan. Jerry
graduated from Akron High School in 1949 where he met the love of his life, Norine Charlotte
Horst.
After working a couple jobs, Jerry enlisted into the United State Air force in March of 1950.
During one of first leaves on February 24, 1951 Jerry married the love of his life, Norine. They
remained married a month shy of 70 years when his love gained her wings! Their marriage
would bring them three boys Jim of Fredonia, New York; Mark of Crossville, Tennessee; and Jeff
of Beckley, West Virginia. Along with their three sons are their daughter-in-laws Marcy of TN,
Glennie of IA, Kimberly of WV and Marilyn of NY. Jerry and Norine have 19 grand children, 32
great grand children and 2 great great grand children.
Upon leaving the Air force in 1954, Jerry worked for a foundry for 10 plus years. During this
time on April 20, 1960 he would make a life changing decision. He realized he needed to accept
Christ as his personal Saviour and Lord of his life. The next 40 years were filled with ministry
for the cause of Christ, Pastoring, Bible College, Church planting, Christian Schools, Counseling,
Food Banks, bus ministries and awarded two Doctrine of Divinity degrees.
We will have a Celebration of Life for Jerry and Norine Kruchkow at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February, 25th, 2023
at the Sophia First Baptist Church, 222 1st Street, Sophia, WV.
This service will be moderated by Jerry’s long-time friend, Dr. Ronald Hodge.
