Beckley, WV

Dolores Wiggins graced us with her presence on August 27, 1962, in Paterson, New Jersey where she was born to Reuben Harding Wiggins & Helen (Rogers) Wiggins at Barnet Memorial Hospital. Dolores peacefully passed away at her home, on May 20, 2025, surrounded by her beloved children, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will never be forgotten.

Dolores was the epitome of strength and resilience, overcoming obstacles and always making a way. She was a beloved sister, daughter, mother, grandmother, friend and confidant who will truly be missed.

After spending her performative years in her home state, Dolores traveled from New Jersey to Beckley, West Virginia, with her extended family, Peggy Morrow (pre-deceased) and with her three children, Kenneth, Jasmine and Helen. Throughout her life, Dolores held numerous positions in various fields, proving she could excel at anything she put her mind to. She thrived from the love of taking care of her family, even while she herself was battling her own health issues. Dolores was a strong, caring woman who loved her family fiercely. To know her was to love her. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering love served as a beacon of light to all her family and those who knew and loved her, enriching their lives with her kindness and wisdom on a daily basis.

Dolores is survived by her three children, Kenneth Wiggins, Jasmine Wiggins and Helen (Wiggins) Jones, and her husband David Jones. She is also survived by her sisters who she loved dearly: Valerie Kirkland, Carolyn Mack, Denise Clayton, Claudette Brown and Lenora Watson. Her only brother, Robert Wiggins, pre-deceased her. Dolores also leaves behind a treasured legacy in her grandchildren: Tazha’neiya, David, Zamier, Daylen, Camille, Hendrix, Da’Mari and Onyx. Additionally, Dolores is also survived by her beloved extended family: Vita Morrow, Erik Morrow, Rebecca Rhodes and a host of special friends who she considered family.

Dolores’s amazing journey on this earth may have ended, but her spirit lives on through the love and memories she shared with her family and friends. Her presence will forever be honored and she will always be remembered as an amazing woman who left an impact on everyone who was blessed to know her.
