Dink Benjamin Mills

Dink Benjamin (DB) Mills, 85, of Glen White, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015.
Born September 25, 1930 at Fourmile, KY, he was the son of the late Tip and Laura Jane Miller Mills. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Dink and Shellie Miller; sisters, Fannie Miller Smith, Hazel Miller Gambrell; half brother, Ronald David Mills.
Dink was a section foreman for Eastern Associated Coal retiring after 32 years of service. He was a member of Sunset Hills Missionary Church and enjoyed hunting, especially coon hunting and fishing. He loved his coon dogs and watching racing.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Betty Lou Acord Mills; half-sister, Shirley Brock of KY; sons, Ronald Mills of Shady Spring, Wayne Mills of Glen White, David Mills of Frankford, WV; daughter, Laura (Janie) Wix and husband Frankie of Beckley; grandchildren, Stephanie Mills Custer whom he raised of Teays Valley, WV, Stacey Poertner of Christiansburg, VA, Amy Wix of Beckley, Amber Gunter of Daphne, AL, Heather Walker of Beckley, Kristen Mills of Knoxville, TN, Kameron Mills of Coal City and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1PM Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Mel Jamison and Kenneth Parent officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family 1 hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home.
