Clyde Matthew Smith, 42, of Eccles, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019.
Born October 6, 1976 in Ypsilanti, MI, he was the son of the late Clyde MacArthur and Phyllis Jean McMillion.
Matt worked at Southern Exposure in Bradley as security/DJ. He was a member of Grace Independent Baptist Church. He liked to DJ, volunteering at the Red Cross and loved spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Tyler Matthew Ward Smith of Manchester, CT and sister, Linda Louise Smith.
Matt is survived by his daughter, Amelia Mae Smith of Arnett, WV; step-daughters, Amanda Perry of Arnett and Toni Perry of Holly Hills; fianc, Karri Goodwin and her daughter Karleigh of Oceana, WV; sister, Rebecca Adkins and husband Scott of Eccles, WV; nephew, Jordan Mancari of Eccles; nieces, Amanda Lively and husband Chuck of Glen Daniel, WV, Gabrielle Clay of Naoma, WV, Cheyenne Clay of Eccles, WV.
He will be sadly missed by many family and friends.
A celebration of Matt’s life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Grace Independent Baptist Church, Lower Sandlick Rd., with Pastor Benny Cozart officiating.
