Clyde Earl McKinney

Clyde Earl McKinney, 85, of Shady Spring, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019.
Born September 10, 1933 in Rhodell, he was the son of the late Calvin Elijah and Hattie Grace Tilley McKinney.
Clyde was a retired coal miner having worked for Maben Energy for many years. He loved hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Dean and David McKinney and sisters, Okalee Meadows and Jenny Stowe.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 65 years, Daphne Elvira Shumate McKinney; daughter, Vanessa Blevins (Larry) of Pemberton; sisters, Diana Treadway of Beckley, Brenda England of Beaver, Louise Blevins of Michigan; brothers, Jimmy McKinney and Calvin McKinney of Michigan, Johnny McKinney of Florida, Wayne McKinney of Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2 pm Sunday, April 28, 2019 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Herbert McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in the Elgood Cemetery at Elgood, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 12 pm until time of service.
