Chester Ulysses Lilly

Chester Ulysses Lilly, 87, of Little Hocking, Ohio, passed away on April 6, 2026.

Born on July 5, 1938, in Cool Ridge, West Virginia, Chester dedicated much of his life to service, both in the military and within his family. He served with honor in the United States Army, enlisting on December 19, 1961, and achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class before his discharge on August 31, 1995. Chester was proud to be a part of the military and cherished the camaraderie and experiences it provided.

Chester is survived by his beloved son Bobby Lilly, daughter-in-law Tammy Lilly, sister Jean Maddy, brother Roger Roark, and grandchildren Robert Lilly, Kenny Lilly, Patrick Lilly, and Michelle Lilly, as well as grandson Robert Lilly IV.

His family was the centerpiece of his life, and he found joy in gathering with them, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories. In addition to his dedication to family and country, Chester found pleasure in visiting local dirt tracks, where he enjoyed the thrill of racing. He appreciated traveling with his family, further enriching their bonds and experiences together. Chester's life was marked by love, laughter, and a passion for both adventure and family unity.

The entombment of Chester Ulysses Lilly will take place on April 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM at 1925 Harper Rd, Beckley, WV, 25801. At 11:00 a.m. family and friends will gather to honor his memory and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of many
