Chad Daniel Shumate, 42, of Beckley passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019.
Born August 3, 1977 in Beckley he was the son of Debbie L. Shumate of Beckley and Greg Shumate and his wife Pam of Branchland, WV.
Chad was a loyal WVU fan and loved his son, Elliott with all his heart.
He was preceded in death by his son Brock; brother, Bradley; maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Margaret Cochran, paternal grandmother, Billie Jean Shumate and aunt, Peggy Daniels who loved him dearly.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his son, Elliott and his mother, Tiffany Richardson of Daniels; brother, Dustin Shumate and his companion, Sarah of Beckley; grandfather, Felix Shumate and Judy of Charleston; niece and nephew, Ava & Ian Shumate; step brother, James Cantrell; step sisters, Emily and Jennifer Cantrell; aunts, Karla Long and her husband Scott and Susan Hargett and her companion Tom Jenkins and special sister, Angie Cadle as well as numerous cousins and loving friends.
A celebration of Chad’s life will be 1 pm Tuesday, September 17 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Vondie L. Cook, II officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
