Carol Jean Sears

Carol Jean (Stump) Sears, 86, of Crab Orchard, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022 at home following a short illness.

Jean was a homemaker her entire life.  She enjoyed cooking for her family and walking everyday with the ladies on her street. She raised 3 kids and several grandchildren. Everyone that knew her knew she had the biggest heart and loved everyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Iva Stump and husband of 52 years, Curtis Sears and her son, Curtis Sears, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Tina Richmond and Sherry Lively (Bill McDowell); seven grandchildren, Tiffany Lively, Nikki Goins (Zach), Vicki Manning (Craig), Cody Sears (Candace), Bobby Sears, Chris McDowell and Jayden Sears; seven great-grandchildren, Maddox, Alora, Zander, Braxton, Lilah, Rhylan and baby Carolena coming in January; beloved brother Billy Stump (Rowena), Michael Stump (Carol) ; sister, Audrey Kasler (TJ); best friend, Fawn McMillion and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2022 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Billy Waddell officiating.  Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
