Betty Sue Metrick

Betty Sue Metrick, born on November 2, 1941, in Beckley, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026, due to natural causes related to dysrhythmia. Betty dedicated much of her life to serving others as an insurance agent with Combined Insurance, where she established lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

A devoted mother to her sons, Rick, Mike, and Rex Metrick, she cherished her family and took immense joy in watching her grandchildren play baseball. Whether attending games in person or listening attentively on the radio, her support was unwavering and filled with love. Besides her family, Betty had a deep passion for nurturing her beautiful rose bushes, which she cared for as lovingly as she did her children. Her garden was a testament to her nurturing spirit and was always in full bloom.

In addition to her love for gardening, Betty found solace in her daily devotions and quiet time spent reading the Bible. She also enjoyed coloring and challenged herself with crossword puzzles and word searches, which brought her joy and mental stimulation. Betty’s warm heart and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A private graveside service will be held to celebrate Betty's remarkable life and the love she shared.

Betty’s legacy will continue to live on through her 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
