Basil William Bolen

Basil William Bolen, Jr., 77, of Beckley, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023.

Born November 1, 1945 in Rhodell, he was the son of the late Osie Holt Bolen and Basil William Bolen, Sr.

Basil was a retired lineman for American Electric Power. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Drema Kay and sister, Sharon Salyers.

He is survived by sons, James (Angela) of Meadow Bridge, Michael (Angela) of Seaman, OH; grandchildren, David, Nick, Casey, Morgan, Aaron, Miranda, Rachel; great grandchildren, Addi and Braxton; brothers, Robert, Cletus, Chet.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2023 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Barton officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.  Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday.
