Arlene Patricia Wallen

Arlene Patricia Wallen, born 3/1/38 of Daniels, WV passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 after a long illness. 

She earned a Bachelors degree in Education from Penn State University in 1959 and shared her knowledge with the children of southern West Virginia for 30+ years as a grade school educator.  Having toured various South American countries with a dance troupe based out of New York City, she enjoyed dancing in her later years with friends.  It was in NYC, she met her husband of 38 years Dan O. Wallen, Sr. 

Raised in Trenton, NJ, Arlene was a true nature lover and West Virginia became her adopted home.  Her three sons, Christopher Mark Wallen, Dan O. Wallen, Jr, and Keith Joseph Wallen were her pride and joy.  She will be missed by her 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Her husband, Dan O. Wallen, Sr passed in December of 1999.

A funeral liturgy will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2023 at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church with Father Leonard Smith officiating.  A Rite of Committal will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the church.
