Alan Ray Terry, 54, of Beckley, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 surrounded by family.
Born August 3, 1964 in Beckley, he was the son of Geraldine Robertson Terry and the late Norris Terry.
Alan was Vice President at Pioneer Community Bank and served as Associate Pastor at Bradley Freewill Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tammy Lynn Peters Terry; daughter, Erin Hicks (John) and their daughter Zoey of Beckley; son, Colin Terry of Beckley; brother, David Terry (Doreen) of Beckley; sisters, Debbie Terry of Lester, Linda Auxier (John) of Elkview, Lisa Terry and Tiffany Goodson (Randy) of Lester; special friend, Janie Dickens of Bradley and numerous other family.
Funeral services will be 11 am Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Bradley Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Cochran, Rev. Daniel Legg, Rev. Al Whitt and Rev. Wayne Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 pm Saturday at the church.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Joseph Academy, P.O. Box 45 Opportunity Lane, Jumping Branch, WV 25969.
