Adam Lee Harvey, 28, of Beckley passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Born March 6, 1984, he was the son of William and Sheryl Harvey of Shady Spring. Adam was a machinist welder having at one time worked for WC Hydraulics. He had a love for the outdoors, enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and loved playing with his nieces and nephews.
Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Gladys Harvey and Bill Pettry.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister, Melissa Williams and her husband Chris of Beckley; brothers, Thomas Harvey and his wife Jessica of Beckley and Justin Harvey of Shady Spring; grandparents, Norman and Sandy Peters of Naoma; nephews, Tyler Christian Harvey and Zachary Williams; a niece, Aislynne MacKenzie Harvey and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousin and family.
A celebration of Adam’s life will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Metrick and Rev. Michael Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family 2 hours prior to the service on Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Howard, Larry Davis, Jr., Christopher Davis, Michael Loving, Robert Kincaid, Thomas Harvey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Harvey and Jimmy Slygh.
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent in memory of Adam to Jones Memorial Baptist Church, 401 Allen Ave., Beckley, WV 25801.
