Terry Dale Blankenship, 60, of Bolt, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Bowers Hospice House. Born August 31, 1951 in Williamson, WV, he was the son of the late Otis and Lovis Norman Blankenship.
Terry was a mobile equipment operator for Peabody Coal. He enjoyed playing guitar, hunting, fishing, the outdoors and riding his horse “Lil Man.” Terry loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sue Blevins Blankenship; daughter, Terri (Nikki) Blankenship of Bolt; sons, Stephen Blankenship and wife Stephanie of Ashland, KY, James Blankenship of Bolt; granddaughters, Ashley, Haley, Kaitlin and Emma Blankenship and sisters, Margie Madden, Betty Spencer and Pam Blankenship.
Following Terry’s wishes his body will be cremated. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
The family suggests that donations in Terry’s memory be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Dr., Beckley, WV 25801.
