Stewart Nelson Stover

November 9, 1963 — February 15, 2014

Stewart N. 'Stew' Stover, 50, of Dorothy, passed away February 15, 2014 in Lexington, KY following a long illness. Born November 9, 1963 in Beckley he was the son of the late Jackie Lee and Patricia Faye Griffith Stover. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Trent Stover.
Stew at one time was a teacher for the Boone County Board of Education. He enjoyed WVU football, the time he spent with family and friends and they loved the great sense of humor he had. He also enjoyed and appreciated the fellowship and prayers of his church family at Beckwith Apostolic Church in Fayetteville, WV.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Lynn Stover; children, Heather Meadows and her husband Andrew of Glen Daniel, Joshua Dougherty and his wife Rachal of Mabscott and Adam Dougherty of Daniels; grandsons, Jaxon Horton and Brantley Alexander Dougherty; a brother, Jackie Lee Stover, II and his wife Cami; nephews Jackie Lee Stover, III, Heath Stover and Nicky Stover all of Dorothy, along with numerous other family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Calfee Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Barker officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, February 21 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Scotty and Freda Stanley and Mike and Arlene Farley.
