Ruth Geraldine Farrish

Ruth Geraldine Farrish, 87, of Beckley, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at home. Born December 8, 1929 in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late Harem Jacob and Pricie Pearl Farrish.

Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens.

Besides her parents Ruth was preceded in death by her sons, Doug and Ronnie Farrish; grandson, Dougie Farrish; granddaughter, Candie Foster; 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Vernon Cliffton Farrish; Children, Connie, Jerry, John, Robin and Janet, all of Beckley; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Wanda Camp of New Jersey; sisters-in-law, Erma and Dessil and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rodney Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia, P.O. Box 1472, Beckley, WV 25802-1472.
