Ruie Bell Clark Ramsey

Ruie Bell Clark Ramsey, 94, of Beckley, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 11, 2015. She had been a resident of Autumn Way Assisted Living in Rupert, WV. in Rupert, WV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Lucinda Green Clark; husband of 65 years, Charles R. Ramsey; her grandson, Andrew Perkins; six Clark brothers, Frank, Fred, Cyrus, Carl, Virgil and infant Dempsey; four sisters, Mae Clark Poteet, Cora Clark Blevins, Wanda Clark Causey and infant Minnie Clark.
She is survived by her two children, Regina Ramsey Perkins and husband Richard Wayne Perkins of Lewisburg, WV and Mark Richard Ramsey and wife Leola Dotson Ramsey of Gainesville, GA; one sister, Mary Clark Baird of Beckley; three grandchildren, Matthew Ramsey, Melody Ramsey Blankenship of Georgia and Jessica Perkins Bower of Lewisburg, WV; four great grandchildren, Isaac Ramsey, Ardyn Ramsey, Eislyn Ramsey and Emma Grace Bower and two step grandchildren, Hunter Cage Bower and Bryan Ramsey.
Ruie, a lifelong resident of Raleigh County, was born at Daniels, WV December 25, 1920 and was a 1940 graduate of Shady Spring High School. She was married January 21, 1946. She was a mother and homemaker excelling in her cooking skills. She loved doing sewing, quilting and crochet work and was highly skilled at these and more. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always put the needs of her family before herself.
She was a charter member of the Calloway Heights Baptist Church where she at times taught children’s Sunday School.
Funeral services will be 11AM on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Calloway Heights Baptist Church. Friends may visit with the family from 6PM to 8PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Calfee Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Dale walker, Marvin Alfrey, Ira Lee, Jerry Shaffer, Howard Jones and David Lilly.
