September 9, 1941 — March 26, 2009

Robert Lee Scott went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 26, 2009, following complications in association with his battle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Bob was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, and proudly defended his country in the United States Air Force. Bob was a Preparation Plant Superintendent for many years and the Pastor of Grace Community Church. He truly loved to preach.

Mr. Scott was the beloved father to two daughters, Heather Scott and Lori Scott Bell and husband Lawrence Bell. He was “PaPa” to Hadley Olivia, Cooper Ian and Aiden Parker. He is survived by brothers, John Scott and wife Sue, Tom Scott and wife Betty; and sisters Mary Ann Scott and Barbara Crump and husband Bill. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Mr. Scott was the picture of a loving Christian father and husband. He was strong and caring, generous and kind. He was an active pastor and loved his church family dearly.

Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday March 30, 2009 at the Grace Community Church located at Lanark, WV, with Pastor Phillip Lilly officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6-9 pm on Sunday March 29, 2009 at Calfee Funeral Home in Beckley and from 11 to 12 at Grace Community Church on Monday.
